Great update brother Todd. Merry Christmas to Mandy and you.

Todd - Thank you so much for letting us into your house as kind of cybernetic houseguests, so to speak, and for giving us a quick look at things happening at your end!

I counted a bunch of things going on, as you describe in your post, so that, despite immediate boring aspects to it, you're still getting stuff done, and stuff that's good to do!

Can't help but notice the references to various foods in your post, salmon, halibut, oyster, clams, and maybe even Texas hog. Yes! I've always believed that when a person's thoughts are on good foods, that's definitely a positive sign, that on the whole things are going well for that person.

Which is reinforced by the upcoming joys of the holiday season, with family coming to town, and the festive house a constant reminder of the pleasures brought by this time of year!

Don't worry about the Benadryl. My older son, the computer guy, has been taking it for years for his allergies. and he still writes a mean computer program!

Good on you for writing for Prostatecancer.net and Healthline. You are in a great position to make very real and important contributions to those sites, and it's for certain that your words there are having a very helpful impact on all who read them!

I have every confidence that the retirement thing is going to work out for you. This is because, as I have always believed, there are some people in life for whom things just seem to work out, and I am convinced that you are one of them. I remember how ominous and concerning your PCa prognosis was just a few years ago, how bleak things looked for you, but then things worked out, and, granted the fight still goes on, but here you are, years later, getting ready for a great holiday season with family, with good food just waiting for you to eat it, and much to celebrate!

You continue to be a rock star inspiration to us, Todd, and we all look forward to even more of that from you for a long time to come!

Todd what kind of surgery did you have on your shoulder? Hate to tell you this sir but the older you get the harder time you have sleeping Lol! Was thinking about your guestion about fatigue then reading all of the things your doing that would be enough to get any body tired!! Todd, just wanted to let you know when you go to rehab which I know you will the tears coming out when you first walk your fingers up the wall ain't from Lupron! 😂😂 You think I'm a grown man and I can't get my hand up the wall but stick with it and after a few months of rehab you will laugh about it! Then in 15 years you can get a brand new shoulder which is better yet!! Larry

p.s. Hey this time when Mandy tells you to get doing something you can tell her oops my arm is in a sling can't do Honey Do project! LOL Just don't tell her I did a cross country ski race with my arm in the sling. You guys have a great day!

Thanks for the update. Sounds like you are doing everything right so dont feel "worthless". Instead , feel "hopeful "'blessed" and "healing well"!
Enjoy your family at this time and think about posting that update on your Blog. Just ignore those replies to sell us something!Keep the Faith brother!!! Reclaim that ultra low PSA!!!

Man. I feel you for the RC surgery. Had a full & partial tear with surgery Jan 2012 as a result of a slip and fall while shoveling snow. My open RP in 2015 was an easier recovery. Then my stupid *** tripped and fell onto the porch stairs just before this Thanksgiving. Same shoulder has hurt ever since. I'm scared to go to the doc! LOL.

The "Lieutenant" is me. In the course of posting and back-and-forth discussions that we have, and have had, here on the forum, sometimes we offer details about our individual pasts which seem relevant to a thread conversation at the time.

At some point during a thread about Vietnam, dealing with Agent Orange as I recall, I happened to mention that I had been an army lieutenant in Nam, and Todd picked up on it and began referring to me that way.
