Well, for the first time since I've been on Lupron, my PSA has jumped from 0.09 to 0.19 all in a short 3 months.
Darn it!
I know I'll need another test to confirm the rise to say I'm castrate resistant now, but this is depressing.
And I know there are other treatments still available, but I may have taken the next step.
I'd like to scream shiite and fork it, but I'm at work right now.
I won't say anything to the wife until I see my Onco next week, don't want to ruin Christmas.

Sorry to hear that. If it continues up the second line ADT likely will be in order. As you know, some guys here have had great responces. I wonder if your good remission with Lupron bodes well when adding Zytiga, Xtandi, or Erleada? You probably won't experience much with additional side-effects if you go that route.

Let's hope you're just seeing a PSA blip.

Very sorry to hear this. I know what you mean about ruining Christmas. Same thing happened to me last December and I kept quiet about the PSA. At the time I also had a bladder infection and bloody urine. I hid that, too, until after the kids had all gone home. I also hope your PSA is just one of those blips and will go away.

That doesn't sound good, but is there a chance there's some noise in your number? My PSA didn't fluctuate that much on ADT, but it did move around a bit. How long have you been on ADT?

Oh crap, Aleph. You deserve better, sorry to hear that. Lets hope it turns out to be some one-off mistake or something.

Probably not noise. My psa in the past might wiggle a hundredth of a point. This is a full tenth if a point.

If it is confirmed, I hope my insurance covers whatever the next drug is.

Man, that sucks. Skynyrd sums it up nicely. Best wishes for breaking the news to your wife. And best wishes for Xtandi, Zytiga or whatever you need to do next.
