Sorry to hear about
all your (serious!) medical problems. Now with respect to prostate cancer, most of us do not (!) consider bicalutamide (Casodex) as chemo.
This drug is often used prior to Lupron to prevent a possible testosterone flare (see my history down below).
Finally, it's my understanding that bicalutamide is usually well tolerated.
Others may chime in with more info.
PS: Because surgery is ill advised for you, it appears to me that some sort of radiation therapy may be in your future. In that context, it appears that the finasteride prescript
ion is to reduce the size of your prostate prior to such radiation therapy.
