Can you tell us your RP path specifics? Final G score, pT staging, and any adverse findings. We're all your nodes negative?
Djin
Thanks Djin. Regarding my post-RP specifics all 30 lymph nodes showed no cancer which was awesome. I wonder if there was some cancer in them previously and the Olaparib drug knocked it out. As for the Gleason score post- surgery, I am trying to find all the notes but it definitely was still considered Gleason 9. It showed % of 4 = 50% and % of 5 = 10%. Was happy about
that as those percentages could be worse. Here is a portion of one of the reports I have:
SUMMARY CANCER DATA
Specimen weight: 29g
Specimen weight includes: Prostate without seminal vesicles
Histologic type: Adenocarcinoma, acinar type
Histologic (Gleason) Grade: Primary: 4 + Secondary: 5 + Tertiary 3 = Total: 9
% Gleason 4/5: % of 4 50% , % of 5 10%
Grade group (WHO 2016): Group 5
Comment about
histologic grade: The history of prior systemic therapy is noted, however no significant treatment effect is appreciated. The tumor shows focal sarcomatoid features.
Estimated volume of index tumor (in cc): 1.7
Extraprostatic extension: Focal (pT3a)
Block(s) and
location with extraprostatic extension: G25
Seminal vesicle invasion: Left S.V. present; negative for invasion
Right S.V. present; negative for invasion
Angiolymphatic invasion: Not identified
FINAL SURGICAL RESECTION MARGINS
Prostatic apex: Carcinoma is absent (apical margin is negative)
Bladder neck: Carcinoma is absent (bladder neck margin is negative)
Circumferential margins: All circumferential margins are free of carcinoma
Comment about
surgical margins: The tumor present in extraprostatic
location is close to, but not at the surgical margin.
Lymph node summary: Nodes with carcinoma: 0 / Total nodes examined: 30
PATHOLOGIC STAGE CLASSIFICATION
Primary tumor (pT): pT3a: Extraprostatic extension (unilateral or bilateral) or microscopic invasion of bladder neck
Regional lymph nodes (pN): pN0
