Brothers All,

My doctors believe there is a causal relationship of my PCa linked to my six months of exposure at what we called "Ground Zero."

Let me be clear, I am not a hero. I'm just a regular guy who was there when the planes took down the WTC towers. I am appending a link to an article that appeared in a local NJ news sheet today.

Please never forget those who died and the afflicted.

Fred, that was a day that i think nobody who was alive and old enough to think, will ever forget. Like the day JFK was shot, its a day that most of us remember exactly where we were, in the moments where the multiple attacks happened.
Never forget, indeed.

Nice article, your experience was as close as it gets. Nice to know you may have had a cause for your PCa.

In my travels, I had been to the top levels of both of the towers at the World Trade Center --- such tall and majestic structures --- shining steel and glass --- two tall spires --- landmarks in the cityscape of New York City.

I could never have foreseen the events that befell our nation on that somber September day, and the loss of all those innocent souls ... as I was teaching my students in a Midwestern classroom.

Your story, New Jersey Fred, revealed in the highlighted article above, is unforgettable ...

Your life's pathway ... the events of September 11th ... intertwined, somehow ...

I watched a documentary, not long ago ... a survivor of the Holocaust, once a young man, and now in his 90s.

He stated he was the only survivor of his entire family.

Furthermore, he was the only citizen of his entire village who had survived the Holocaust.

He stated that one day, many years later, his survivorship finally became quite clear to him ... a revelation.

He stated that he alone remained, because he was meant to tell the STORY.

And so it is with you, New Jersey Fred ... for you have shared --- with us --- a story that must not be forgotten ...

My cousin worked on the pile. He is a NJ fireman. He got 9-11 testicular cancer in his late 50's. Thankfully he is ok.

My boyfriend got his prostate cancer from agent orange. He was a combat vet in Vietnam.

My father's prostate cancer is suspected to be from the years he worked in the textile union before that moved overseas.

So many exposures. Best wishes to all fighting any form of this demon.
