Doctor said he can "Offer " radiation therapy not "off" that was an auto -fill error
I mean he is okay with radiation therapy even if I do not do ADT

When you go on ADT for prostate cancer treatment, the goal is bring down testosterone to castrate level ( < 50 ). Prostate cancer cells need testosterone to survive and spread. I am surprised that you have PSA of 4.2 at testosterone of 42.

Yes I think about
21 years off and on. I did stop in 2005 to about
2006 because I lost insurance coverage for Androgel. That's when I discovered that my anxiety, depression,,timidity etc was from low testosterone. I kept telling my wife that something was wrong with me. I did not know until I saw another doctor who saw my low T and started to inject me in office. Eventually I was allowed to self inject.
When I began the first time it was a routine test by my family doctor who prescribed Androgel

BTW my hypogndal disorder is due to decades of opioid use for pain. I Am currently on buprenorphine however while it acts differently than pure mu agonist opiates, it is synthesized from thibane which is from the leaf of the opium poppy and has a similar effect on the "axis"that controls hormone production.
For me, buprenorphine is much safer and still controls my pain

I see doctor Deutsch November 4th
I Have to admit I went back on testosterone injections. I was so depressed and tearful and was having panic attacks. A week after my injection I felt much, much better.
I will admit it and ask about
another biopsy .It's only been a year but I'm hoping, maybe unrealistically that maybe we can put off treatment until February. The longer days are more tolerable since I have seasonal affective disorder. I do want treatment even if it sounds like I'm avoiding it. My rationale is sound if my cancer is still localized and G6 with one G7
I will ask about
a CT Scan and possible biopsy but not sure they will do another biopsy since it's only been one year. I know he will do a DRE and that may shed light as well.
I know he is not going to be happy about
the testosterone but I did try for almost 2 months to stay off.
This is not easy because I am scared and don't want to become untreatable. I wish I were not so dependant on TRT darn it!
I will report after I speak with the doctor.

Oh BTW my BPH symptoms did not change while off the testosterone. I still have difficulty starting a stream and still have urgency.

I will consider surgery if waiting is no longer an option.
I Have tried to stay off testosterone and between the shortening daylight and my emotional symptoms of low T it was too much to handle. I imagine with the prostate removed that TRT will not be an issue.
