Last Thursday I had my quarterly urologist meeting and blood draw for PSA. The meeting really centered around his family as he recently lost his father-in-law to CV-19. Some tears and prayers were shared.

Five minutes ago he called and gave me the results of another undetectable PSA. In the last 10 years I have had 41 tests.......one at 59 and 40 undetectable. I like the pattern that is emerging.

My uro’s father in law was a retired doctor, 88 years old. Had many of the usual comorbidities that are present with most people at that age. From the start of the plague he and his wife stayed at home, had everything delivered, always wore masks, buttoned up tight, no one took more precautions. They have no idea where or how he contracted the disease. When he was hospitalized I spoke to my uro and he said his father in law was very specific that he would not be intubated. He passed about a week and a half later. I understand he lived a very full life with no regrets and lived years longer than most and many years longer than the family expected. As my uro said “circle of life”.

I also like that trend! Keep up the good work there, and thanks for being here for us.
