Corona vaccine poll

I won't be the first in line, but I will be way back in the back somewhere.

I voted UNDECIDED.

IF I can be convinced that political expediency was not behind all this, (ie: it underwent the same rigorous testing as other vaccines AND the SE profile was acceptable) then YES.

We have rigorously self-quarantined and can do so indefinitely, but, of course, would prefer not to!

I know there are tons of potential PC drugs that looked great in Phase 1 trials that ended up on the scrapheap. What about drugs that looked great in an early part of Phase 3 trials? Anyone know? It seems it is premature to assume at this point that the Pfizer drug is a lock. Hope I am wrong!

I'd be a bit more comfortable if they had more long-term data available, but I'm in. Since I may not be able to get it until April or so, there should be some additional data available. And I'd also like to think that by then there are 1-2 more vaccines approved and that data will also contribute to our collective understanding.

i'm more concerned about short term data. if it's not killing anyone and is FDA and fauci approved I am in. someone once said "what do you have to lose?"

I've never researched efficacy and side effects when getting vaccinations -- and I get them all.

My wife and I just got our annual seasonal flu shots yesterday. I didn't research that. I didn't check on possible side effects. We didn't check to see if Dr. Fauci had given any advice one way or the other. We just went in, rolled up our sleeves, and got the shot. We'll likely do exactly the same with a Covid vaccine.

I've asked Dr. Fauci if we could have New York Strip on the grill tonight... so far, no answer. I will post his answer as soon as it comes though.

I will take it as soon as i can. As long as its been FDA vetted. I still trust the FDA (based on outgoing administration not twisting arms). And i trust Pfizer. Theyve got way too much at stake. Moderna? dunno, they've never brought a product to market. But if it gets through the FDA, i'm likely ok with it. I trust science in protecting against the virus before vaccines are available, i will trust science with vaccines.

I watched the White House press conference about 40 minutes ago, and the president said we will have multiple vaccines soon. The elderly, at risk, will get them first, free of charge.
