Do you still have the getting in the mood arousal feeling prior to inflating Penile inplant?

Hello Impatient, welcome to the forum.

If you tell us a bit more about yourself we might be able to answer your questions better. Most of the guys here who have penile implants got them to help with impotence secondary to prostate cancer treatments. We're glad to try to help guys whose problems didn't start with their prostates but it helps to know a bit more about the problems for which we are offering our advice, such as it is.

In answer to your question: Yes, a man with an implant can become excited prior to -- or without -- inflating his device. But it's best to inflate the device fairly early in the process. It can be a bit disconcerting to get yourself all worked up only to be reminded that there is nothing going on down there. It's easier to forget about your device if you inflate it earlier than you would normally expect an erection. Then, instead of feeling like things aren't working (which can kill the mood) you just feel like the party has started without you.

My implant was done five months prior to my PCa being diagnosed. I had the "urge" feeling then and still have it now.

Only temporary negative was when I was on FloMax and Rapaflo - - had the "urge" but ejaculation was bone dry (although the pleasure of climax was the same).

Now that I'm off those meds - - ejaculation and all that goes with it has returned.

The reason I was writing this is because I actually have Peyronies disease to the point that I got ED. took Ziaflex Injections, which was a waste of time! it is curved so much that I haven't been able to have sex for at least 2 years now! I am getting inplant in about week and a half! just curious on what to expect!

I got my implant to correct total ED from nerve damage during prostate surgery. I would expect that, in broad terms, you should get about the same eventual result as I did, and as did some of the other guys I've talked to about their implants. Penile prostheses are the best available treatment for intractable Peyronie's Disease and I expect you will be satisfied with yours. I dunno if your surgeon has mentioned it, and I hate to spoil the surprise, but new implants tend to hurt a bit the first few times you pump them up. It takes a while for the tissues to stretch back out but the discomfort gradually goes away. It seems like this accommodation period might be different with Peyronie's.

Don't forget to check back with us and tell us how you are doing when you get a chance. Men who have been treated for prostate cancer are at higher risk for Peyronie's than other men their age. This is especially true for men who have had surgery.
We'll all be interested to hear your results with treating PD with an implant. If you received your implant when you expected to do so last time you posted then it is still early times for you yet and you are still healing. But do check in from time to time.

Hi there, impatient - I'm patient (or maybe impatient, I never did figure out which).

I had Peyronie's along with ED from prostatectomy, and injections weren't a lot of help, similar to what you have described. I had an implant, which completely solved my problems. I hope yours helps you as much as mine has me. You will need to give it a bunch of weeks to recover.

I had my implant done this past Friday (Feb 12th). I still have some inflammation! Very sore and tender. I'll have to wait another 4-6 weeks to give it a trial run! It feels ok! I hope that all this pain and suffering will be worth it! I'm sure it will! I'll keep you updated
