Is cribriform the ductal cancer (DCP)?

I saw cribriform in the biopsy report. Does that mean cribriform is DCP? Thanks.

116, Where is your signature??? It is asking much for folks to hunt down posts in other threads in an effort to get information. Please create a signature with the information that you have based on the signatures of other Forum brothers. This will save you time from having to repeat information and will be an enormous help to those who would like to help and try to answer questions.

Also, it looks like you're spending a lot of time surfing the internet for prostate cancer, and then you're asking us random questions that your searches blew into your head. It's going to drive you crazy, and not going to enlighten yourself very much.

Djinn. Sorry for that. I have followed the instruction to add my signiture. It did shows in my profile. I assume it is ok. But why does it NOT display. Anyway I haven’t had the treatment (surgery). All info is only from my biopsy. Let me try again to see if my signature is displayed or not.

Gleason 9 is serious and overshadows the nuances in biopsy findings. I would be focused with my docs on whether or not the cancer appears to be prostate-confined, locally advanced (contiguous growth out from the prostate and/or pelvic mets), or even more serious (distant mets). I would advise you to research and think about what you want for your treatment. After any upcoming imaging and your decision, there will likely be additional time needed for scheduling, assuming you have met with radiologist(s) and surgeon(s) and made your choice. With high-grade disease, you don't want to draw out the decision process for months on end.

Thanks for the signature.....now, let me suggest some steps to take:

You have a G9 core. Normally we would recommend a second opinion on your slides...but it's unlikely that you'll go lower risk. With that in mind, I'd agree with Djin, and get yourself focused on the big questions: Confined or not confined to the organ? Local or distant metastisis? With those answers, you can move to treatment.

Did I note an earlier post where you are already on ADT? That's a great thing to do at high risk while you assess your options.

Are you scheduled for surgery? Have you talked to the radiation experts about your case and their opinion of you best treatment?

DJin has explained the seriousness. I would just add that you may need a combination of treatment types for best results.

That is why consulting with a surgeon, a radiation oncologist, and a medical oncologist will give you the best advice for your path forward.
