Losing response to Levitra five years after SRT?

I am nine years out from robotic prostatectomy for G7 (3+4)and underwent SRT in 2016. I waited over two years to check a PSA as I was afraid to know if I failed. I was undectable and I have chosen not to do any testing until next year - if ever. I feel like a have a great chance of long term control and would not want hormone therapy.

Regardless, I had really good erections one and one half years after surgery with levitra. Unfortunately, over the last 18 months things are slipping. I did 6 shockwave treatments but no signficant change. My wife is getting older as well and my worsening erections are getting to be a pain for her. I feel like she is tired of not being satisfied at times and I think she is ready to opt out. The stress of not knowing if my results on any given night are going to be good also does not help as well as the reduced frequency as we get older.

My question is did anyone on the board ever have any luck combining Muse urethral suppositories with Viagara. Also has anyone switched from one ED med to another and noticed improvement...i.e change from Levitra to Viagra to see if it makes a difference.

I am 62 and don't want to give up but I feel that it is all slipping away. I am in great shape otherwise and very fit.

Sorry to hear about your problems, but I can certainly relate. I had a much worse experience than yours, by which I mean surgery was the immediate end in this area for me. Nothing ever helped, though I never tried the implant approach.

So, I'm glad to hear you have had good results for quite a few years, but sorry to hear you feel it is "all slipping away.".

Assuming they would work for you as they do for many, you have some options left. Different drugs might help(it is possible). And the MUSE or direct injections(with the world's tiniest needles) of similar drugs, even without Viagra, might make a big difference. And lastly there is the big Kahuna, a surgical prosthesis implant with guaranteed erections for however long and as often you desire to have one. Not guarantee sexual pleasure, mind you, but guaranteed erections. It just pumps you up.

But, as you guys age, you still must determine if your wife would be interested in your being able to have an erection, using any of those means, or not.

I had RP 4 years ago and no sex since. Viagra and Cialis no longer worked. Tried Muse max dose 1000 mcg and it had some effect but not enough and it stung. Made the head swell but not the shaft stiff enough for sex.

Went to urologist and got trained for Trimix, got an erection like I haven't had since high school and it lasted 2 hours. Can't wait to try it with my wife.

Wish I had listened to urologist and tried the Trimix earlier. The needle is so tiny, it does not hurt at all and the results are amazing. He started me on 50 units and I am thinking I will try a lesser dose, who needs 2 hours.
