One positive about my PC experience is due to my sharing of my experience. My elevated PSA level was discovered during a routine yearly physical, which started me down the path. If I had skipped the yearly physicals, I’d probably have serious consequences. Once I had my RALP, I got over my embarrassment of having PC issues and shared my story with many family members and friends. Many who had been skipping their yearly exams resumed them, and a few have found life threatening issues that they were unaware of. I feel like my having PC has allowed me to help many others.
