I just went through 30 of antibiotics for infection my PSA went down from 4.8 to 4.2 now they tell me watch & Waite
As for you digestion problems I can tell you the antibiotic hurt the good bacteria I would suggest a good probinic to put back the good bacteria.
The waiting is nerve racking,
as for what my PSA was before the 4.8 it was 3.2 and jumped to the 4.8 in 3 mounts

On my next test with psa being 6.93. What would be best result if it went to 8. or fell to 5?

Ok I have my psa check tomorrow. 2 months ago I had a 6.93 and 9 months ago a 4.8! I had a biopsy 9 mos ago and was clear. What reading would be a good one or bad one? thanks

Lower is good.
Higher is bad.
The same would be frustrating.

Ok I just got my new results on my psa! Please give me some feedback! 9 mos ago i had a 4.8. 2 mos ago it was 6.93 and my new one is 4.53! thanks

Ok just got a 7.12. Was 7.5 5 months ago. MRI or biopsy?

Provide your last 6 years of PSA history along with any biopsy results and symptoms since 2016 and you should expect some sound advice

Ok PSa results have been 4.8. Had biopsy. It was clear. Prostate exam was smooth. 7 mos later psa was 6.9. Retested 3 mos later 4.53. 1 yr later psa was 5.6. Tested yr later 6.4. Retested and it was 5.46. Had mri done and it was clear. Next test was 6.42. Tested 6 mos later it was 7.5. Tested 5 mos later and it was 7.12. Now advice is welcomed.

jd: honestly it sounds like you have a prostate infection. They are notoriously difficult to treat. Your gyrating PSA is the clue. PSA from cancer tends to rise slowly and steadily over time.

Prior coming back down in the 4’s, still fluctuating but coming back down 6&7’s?
Possibly chronic infection with underlying steady movement upwards?
Test and treat for infection, maybe another biopsy if warranted.
Free PSA tested?
