In November last year they noticed a hard spot in my prostrate. I was referred to a urologist, there was also a concern that my PSA went from 1.5 to 2.5. I was given a urine test to identify cancer and it came back Suspicious and said I had a 68% likelihood of prostate cancer on biopsy. Over the ensuing weeks of sleepless nights and much concern I went on to a MRI with contrast which yielded a result of PIRADS 2. Which sort of conflicted with the urine test. From the report my urologist said there were no areas to target so he would take 12 samples, 6 on each side of the prostate. The biopsy really wasn't that bad due in no small part to the skill of my urologist. After 10 weeks of trepidations the result came via MyChart,
No cancer seen good news. During this time I learned a "LOT" about prostate cancer. Couldn't stay off Google which in retrospect added to my anxiety. The only bright spot was the new friends I made on HW. Real people with genuine concern for all my feelings and a willingness to help me through the most difficult time. I looked forward to reading the responses and made 3 great new friends along the way. So great full to HW and all my new friends
who were so good to me.
