This is Janice, Steve55777's wife. Sadly, days before Steve was scheduled for his (3rd round of Lu-177 or Pluvicto) entitled Actinium 225 a clinical trial, he had a severe stroke on July 13. For a few days, following surgery, we thought he was becoming the leader of stroke recovery but no, things shifted, and hospice was the only choice. Five weeks later, August 16, he took his peaceful last breath. He had a full life filled with gratefulness and was a leader in all he did, including his cancer...this blog. His newest passion, singing with an innate ability for beautiful harmony was realized in his last few years. He sang his heart out the day before little strokes began. So incredibly grateful he didn't experience cancer pain, and only a few weeks of on and off frustration of not being able to speak or move his right side.
You, his friends, on this site meant so much to him, encouraging him and allowing him to help others with his experiences, knowledge and research. Thank you. He did his part once cancer hit, being vegan, no intoxicants along with regular exercise. But his consistent positive and grateful attitude was by far, the "medicine" that helped him the most. So, stay grateful and positive as you move through your prostate cancer. Love, Janice
