See links below. The Ornish Lifestyle Medicine Program includes exercise, stress management NS also a Whole Foods plant based diet with no oils. Obviously, dairy and sugar are eliminated.
There is controversy around the program, his studies are generally small. Also, this study applies to early stage PCa that is G7 or less.
With that said, I can tell you this is real, not bs hyperbole. I have been on the program for 5 1/2 weeks now (for its effect on coronary artery disease, not PCa, but the program is the same) . Including 4 hour zoom meetings 2x weekly. My results, based on numbers have been terrific. My bp is down 20 points, I am off 1 bp med (Amlodipine) and have now reduced my second bp med (Losartan) dosage by half. My fasting blood glucose is down about
15 points. And I’ve lost 20 pounds. Energy levels much higher.
So for me, food is indeed medicine and the wrong foods, even in moderation, is poison. Sugar fits that bill, and for some, dairy might as well.
