Forgive me - - I MUST Vent...

I have had the honor to get to know many of you since PcA brought me to this incredible site. Some of you might recall that my PcA was my "souvenir" after having participated in the World Trade Center Rescue/Recovery for almost six straight months.

My Gleason was 3+4=7. After 45 radiation treatments, my PSA blissfully nosedived from 8.7 to 0.2. I thank Almighty God and medical science every single day.

Now a new challenge. I have been diagnosed with a malignant (stage B1) Thymoma outside my left lung. I had the same thing - although benign - eleven years ago and it was surgically removed.

So on to my "beef." Over the past 23 years I have sat with and helped bury many people who were at or near the WTC when the terrorists struck. Some were friends who worked at my side as we dug. Others were people I first met after the sneak attack.

My job at the time was as a bus transportation liaison to the Rudolph Giuliani administration. We had a 9am meeting. Had my train coming down from Grand Central Station not been delayed, I would have been killed. The meeting was in 7 World Trade Center. Thank you, dear God.

I am beyond pissed that the convicted perpetrators are being given a plea deal. Were it left to me, I would execute them in a long - and - painful manner and smile as I did it. Whatever led to this "deal" is the epitome of an injustice and a desecration upon the graves of all who died and all who endure incurable diseases. Yes, I was certified under the Zadroga Act. The money meant nothing. Putting in a secure investment for my wife was the critical factor.

I cannot shake my rage. I cannot calm myself.

Fred.....so sorry to hear about another cancer diagnosis to deal with.......you have every right to be pissed after sacrificing. I have come to realize there is so many ways to get cancer and the saddest part most people do not get checked out with cancer screening and end up terminal because it was found too late to save life. Hang tough my friend and I know you will.....

I am pleased to learn that Secretary of Defense Austin acted decisively to revoke the plea bargains.

I raise my hands to salute the souls of those who died as a result of this blatant terrorism and those who continue to suffer physically and mentally and their families.

Well judging from the Secretary’s past behavior (PCa fiasco) maybe he gave verbal approval and then realized the optics were incredibly bad and the underling was forced to fall on her sword.

Who on actual earth is running our country right now!!!

I know Austin cancelled it but the plea deal should have been “here are flippers, a swim suit, and a compass. The middle east is east. Good luck.”

Or Eric Holder?.... So the Dept of Defense is administering justice and the Justice Department is doing what? guarding the shores?

NIH ran the country for a few years also. The inmates are clearly running the asylum now.
