Blood in My Urine: Is It PCa or Prostatitis

hey everyone,

so over the last few weeks, i've been feeling some pain in my perineum area and i think it might be my prostate. sunday morning, i noticed a little bit of blood in my urine, but it wasn't there the rest of the day. yesterday was fine, but i saw blood again this morning. i'm kinda worried because the only other times i've had blood in my urine were after my biopsies and the two HDR treatments.

my next PSA blood test is next tuesday, and i'll talk to my RO nurse then. she's on vacation this week, so i can't reach her until then. i'm really concerned, honestly. do you think it could be a recurrence, just prostatitis, or maybe a UTI?

I've had hematuria for years since radiation and even before.
I've had a stricture and successful dilation but just my last urination I have blood.
I'm on blood thinners so maybe that is a reason but my doctor is not concerned.
As long as it's not constant I don't worry.
Understood too that it doesn't take a lot of blood to look like it's a lot.
Yeah rule out stuff but some of us are just bleeders

Sammas, you're 5+ years out from HDR, so we'd expect things to be stable. Your upcoming PSA will tell a lot...

i just received my PSA results today and was told that it increased slightly by 0.04 points to 1.14. i was informed that this is a good score. she mentioned it was nothing to worry about but still recommends that i see a urologist due to the trace of blood in my urine.

Since I pretty much have hematuria every day, I no longer worry about it. First time years ago (1990) it was from a kidney stone and that journey was a hellish ride but the cause was obvious-the stone was lodged in my ureter and it took several stents put in and out before I "plinked" it out one morning (half inch by quarter inch uric acid stone.
Hematuria stopped but it returned now and again which was alarming but it was suggested that my huge prostate was the culprit.
now three years post SBRT I have had many reasons for it mostly from a urinary stricture. A year and half ago a dilation opened up the stricture and I was able to void well again. However, that was not the end of hematuria.
I have had blood plus clotting off and on. Usually once or twice a day but some days I do not bleed.
Now it may be important to note that because of my Afib, I am on Eliquis a blood thinner! maybe that can be the reason however none of my three urologists can say for certain.
Bottom line is that it is not a return of Pca because my PSA is still dropping so I choose not to worry!
If it gets extreme of course I will report it but as is, I am just resigned to know that i am a bleeder.
