Hi everyone,
I've heard after radiation the prostate is fried, riding bike have no effecting PSA level. Is it true? do i have to like no bike riding or sex with in a few day before the test?
Love to hear it from you.
Thanks everyone

No idea but my logic tells me that if the prostate is still exhibiting PSA then the radiation has not stopped doing its job (fried prostate has a pink center) and the tissue could exhibit more PSA if disturbed. Probably not worth the trouble of worrying about
but sex on a bike might be worth considering

Dave, It’s been eight years since my SBRT treatment and my ‘toasted’ prostate continues to decline in it’s ability to express PSA. I continue to follow the advice of avoiding cycling and sex prior to my blood draw as well as staying with the same lab for testing. I do so to simply get the most accurate assessment of my PSA.
Mumbo…I don’t think sex on the bike was what they had in mind when they designed the bicycle built for two. : )

The idea sex on the bike not bad at all, I am willing to trade off high PSA for that!!!
Thank you guys for your input, i just had my PSA test at 1 year post treatment and looks good it's trending down, no sex on the bike for 48hours.
