We've got a lot of folks here in Florida, so I just wanted to give a shout out and say good luck, with the approaching storm, Hope you all get out of it with no serious issues.

Thanks. We are in Naples and likely to get hit but not as bad as the folks north of here. Evac orders for people in Ft. Myers Beach and north. Tampa Bay area likely to get really hammered. This is probably gonna be a real catastrophe for many.

I'm in the darn bullseye... but it did shift south again. I'll still get 110mph wind gusts. All the darn debris from two weeks ago is piled up in front of homes. It is going to get messy.

I just saw on the weather channel that the Waffle Houses are closing around Tampa. Boys it's time for ya'll to hit the roads. I'm not trying to make light of the fact that Waffle Houses are an indicator of the danger you guys are facing. They are watched by weather trackers. If you can please give us a post that you are OK after this blows through. God be with you.

I haven't been to a Waffle Houses in decades... Might have to change that.

BUT, it looks like Milton moved more South again over night. It's hard to get excited about that knowing that other people will get hit harder..... and many of those are still recovering from Hurricane IAN from 2022.

EDIT: And, it looks like Friday night when Milton is on the other side of Florida, it is going to crash into Invest AL93 (Potential for development-> 50% in 2 days, 50% in 7 days) It will be what we call a "Fish Storm." Nuttin out there in the Atlantic but Fish.

We live in Clearwater Beach. We left Monday morning and are in N Florida now. Like Steve said, so much debris from last storm. It will be messy. Water and sewer cut off for this one. Glad I'm out. Good luck to all.

I did survive.

NO ELECTRICITY Thursday - Friday and up till 5:30pm Saturday.

My Mobile Home Park has 654 units... and in 3.5 years of living here, we had more damage than all previous 3.5 years combined.

BUT, I only had a couple hundred dollars worth of cosmetic damage to the fascia (front of roof) and lost well over a hundred bucks worth of stuff in the refridge... My super idea of using Tupperware to make large ICE didn't pan out. In two days it turns into water....

One of the saving graces was the 65ºF weather in the evenings... It was perfect open window weather.
