IMO, unlike a RALP the installation of the AUS is a much simpler procedure. Prior to making a decision about who and where for the RALP I watched a video of the entire surgery online. Wow. When I looked for a surgeon to do the RALP I wanted one who had done thousands and traveled 5 states away to Cleveland Clinic. When it came to the AUS I watched a video of that procedure and, not to put it down in any way, it appeared much simpler, sort of a minor plumbing job, and I had my local uro do it and that was fine. When I needed a replacement due to urethral atrophy, the same uro did the job.
