Hi olds friends,wishing you the best this fight.
today I have my PSA and after twenty years still is 0.04 thanks God.
I am greaful that my surgery went very well and eventhough now a Gleason 3+3 is no cosidered cancer today,the only way to be sure if it is a true 3+3 is after surgery.
Some times I miss my prostate gland.

Thanks for posting.

Some get quite worried about a non-zero PSA test outcome after a prostatectomy, but you have done so well. Did you ever get hormone therapy?

I think that a Gleason 3+3 diagnosis is considered evidence of cancer by most these days.

Great news Goldhorse.

I just got my 16 year PSA and it is .04

It used to be <.03 just switched labs to quest from old ohio health.

Looks like I am having recurrence.

ChrisR - - I don't think anyone would call that a recurrence.

A <.03 could mean the reading is a .02999999999 which is less than .03.

A .04 is extremely close to a .029999999 reading.

I found out that quest has two different PSA tests last night and this one’s called a total PSA. They also have a post prostatectomy PSA and I found other people online who came back with the exact same value of .04 and they went and retested at LabCorp and it was undetectable again so I think the test that they gave me this total PSA test may have a lower limit of .04 and it was the wrong test.

OK...I'm an idiot....

I had a life insurance physical back in 2016 and they used Quest Labs for my PSA....quess what? Same result back then. .04 no < sign.
