The results of my recent transperineal targeted and systematic biopsy reported ASAP in one
location in addition to the known lesion identified on PSMA and mpMRI.
How might this finding affect my plans for salvage focal brachytherapy? The last thing I want now is to have another biopsy to gather more samples in that area and delay treatment even further. Duke took 4 months after MRI to do this recent biopsy.
What is the protocol for treating a single definitive grade 3 lesion and ASAP? Are both treated or just the grade 3 lesion? This ASAP didn't show up on my mpMRI or PSMA. I believe Dr Zelefsky uses MRI to guide the placement of seeds or HDR. I don't see how he could treat the ASAP.
