will make it quick.
2 rounds of radiation and all was well for 2 years. a bone scan revealed 1 lesion on a rib. radiation took that out.
after about 1 plus year of apalutamide, it drained me. left it about 2 years ago . feel just fine now. body hair just started to come back about 6 months ago.
no sign the last 5 years of prostate cancer.
all started in 2015
am 83 in 5 months. very active life.

what is my prognosis?
any thoughts or experiences out there?
would be appreciated.

Life expectancy for males born in US is currently around 75 years old. The life expectancy for a 83 year old male is around 90+ years. You have beat the odds so far and are still ticking along.

Your PCa may or may not affect the statistics given the advances in medical treatments. Your general health and risk factors are equally important in my opinion. My Dad died at 96 with prostate cancer, not from it. Worn out repaired heart with a pacemaker was cause. Just have to avoid all the other things that can go haywire as you age.

Your prognosis? I can't possibly know. 2nd opinion? Ok, you're ugly too. Ba dump bump. I'd say you've surpassed what many would have wished for. Enjoy every day.

Would pluvicto help.you?
I read it's quite potent and kills the cancer itself.
Canada approved it a few months back

You said no sign of cancer the last 5 years. Why would you want to do Pluvicto? It certainly is not indicated in your situation.

I was replying to someone about the fact Pluvicto is a drug approved in Canada. the usa has way ahead on this.

i am not taking anything for the last 2 years i think it is. I was on apalutamide ( erleada) for a good year and it just drained me. it is a chemo to some degree. I was in a clinical trial and one of 444 in canada i was told, at the time.
i was told finally my testosterone level is moving up. it was .05 last time. i am due to a checkup on Dec 20th with bone scan, that i get every 6 months.

between you and I, i am amazed how quickly new and supposedly better drugs for prostate cancer come on the market.

So there is no sign of cancer. In my mind the sky is the limit. I used to drive trucks. I've had a pacemaker for 30+ years. I had to go in every year to get my medical card. The half wit doctor I saw on one visit wanted my cardiologist to put in writing how long I would live with a pacemaker. The cardiologist wrote him this note, "Only God knows for sure."
