Hey Ron. Were you on a nuke boat? My son was on the Miami then the Connecticut and most recently the Jimmy Carter. He’s an instructor now somewhere in South Carolina.

Hi Todd,

Not even close to a nuke boat, even though, while in the Air Force, I went work with the SEALS at Norfolk a couple of times and took a drive down by the ships....LOL After being in the AF, many people asked if I worked in an aerial refueler, but it wasn't that. I actually got the nicname Boomer from growing up playing hockey (started skating with a stick and puck around age 4), then in my first job, I decided to play basketball with my colleagues during lunch time or after work. I found out that body checks weren't allowed in basketball and that was a difficult concept for me to learn while trying to steal a ball or going after a loose ball. So, everyone started calling me Boomer. And now, you know the rest of the story.
