Do you take Cialis (Tadalafil) ?

Prior to dealing with PCa I regularly took Cialis for ED. I had an Rx for daily 20mg. Seems like many are prescribed Cialis after treatment so I continued to take it daily. A few months ago my PCP changed it to 5mg. Curious if and how much any of you take daily. I believe I've read that it helps with blood flow. I'm kind of aggravated that my PCP is screwing around with my meds that I think should be under the direction of one of my specialists -- Uro or MO.

After surgery 2013, took up to 20 mg of cialis on recommendation from URO which quickly became 5 mg when needed. Still taking 5 mg 1 or 2 times a week on demand.
Take no other prescription drugs except for after surgery for pain( hip replacement, broken bones from trauma, prostate removed etc)

I take 5 mg daily. My understanding is that 20 mg is the max dose, and should be taken on an as needed basis.

I've been on 2.5 mg daily since surgery.

I usually take the 5mg but pharmacy made an error and gave me the 20mg
I did not check because as a generic they often vary in size and shape.

Now that I know, I will not take these daily but space them out until my next refill

I've been on 5mg/day since my surgery. The doctor recommended it to help blood flow and "decrease shrinkage".

been taking 5 mg a day since 2017....and i think it has been very helpful with mild ed after my radiation. It does cause acid reflux since it relaxes the lower valve at the stomach. I decided to try and quit it a week ago....it immediately stopped the acid reflux ...a good thing....but also feel like it has softened my erections....so, Im going to try 2.5 mg now ....not ready to give up my woody....

Fl: I hadn't heard of the cialis/GERD connection before. Interesting. I've had GERD for years, and I do have a diagnosed hiatal hernia--but still, interesting.

Yes I had the same problem when I tried Viagra, if you get a chance do a Google search on generic Cialis and acid reflux and it's definitely one of the possible causes.

Interesting. I'm tempted to stop the cialis (daily, 2.5 mg) for a few days or a week and see what happens.

Re the stomach issues...yeah, I take 20mg on an as needed basis for a boost. Gives me some face flush, sometimes a bit of a temporary cough and some upset stomach. A couple of Tums works wonders and the small SE annoyance is worth the big gain...

I think I'm going to try halfing the 5's and keep some in my system. And hope the reflux doesn't start again.

Drifter, thanks for the information on the acid reflux side effect. I was unaware of that. I have chronic acid reflux and take 40mg Esomeprazole daily. I had been taking 5mg Tadalafil daily for ED but found that it didnt help that much. Somewhere in my research about Tadalafil I found that it helps with chronic prostatitis so I took it for about 2 years but I didn't think it helped so I stopped it for about a year. My urologist told me to take 20mg as needed instead for ED. Recently I had focal cryoablation and my doctor wanted me to start the daily Tadalafi 5mg again along with Tamsulosin.
