How do I read the result?

Hi gfspain and Welcome to the Forum! How did you receive your result: was it a report direct from the lab looking exactly like your previous results? Then either it should read 0.070 or they performed a 2-decimal ultrasensitive PSA test instead of your usual 3-decimal one (perhaps someone ordered that test by mistake).

On the other hand, if you're seeing a result that someone entered in another form/place (paper or portal)--i.e., it isn't an official-looking lab report and looks different than your past results--then (if it was manually entered) either they didn't report the right-most zero (but should have) or (less likely IMO) the third decimal place wasn't a zero but was forgotten. Or perhaps they reported the value correctly and the lab did a 2-decimal test this time, as I mentioned.

It looks like your PSA is essentially steady. I wouldn't worry, but for peace of mind you can look into it yourself (is there a tel. no. for the lab on the form?) or ask your doc to look into it.

I read them by not focusing on thousandths. Note I have been testing to three digits for nine years since my RP nadir of 0.051. As I chose to rely on <0.010 as best indicator I accepted cancer remained.

Since my third treatment, salvage ePLND nearly seven years ago, my uPSA has followed a similar slow stable rise, albeit at slightly lower values.
