New info on Financial questions

I am still in the process of deciding open v robotic and have several appointments this month. I have not seen anything on this forum concedrning the question of insurance. I believe I have a fairly good policy "Blue" . What has been everyone's experience. When do you deal with this? Barrister

Parson,

I also have "Blue" and they do cover the robotic procedure. I had no problems with the insurance and the surgery did not cost me anything.

Hi Barrister,

I am covered by another plan, but there were no problems. We did check in advance to see if the DaVinci procedure was covered.

You should be fine. My work cancelled my insurance the week before i had surgey, they said that they covered my testicular cancer treatment and operation in the Spring of 06, and they could not pay the premium for december. I picked up cobra, so i was covered. Still a little tough, no pay coming in, Christmas around the corner, and a big fat premium to pay. But guess what i am cured of cancer, that is all that matters. The insurance covered everything, praise God!!!!!!!

Sorry Barrister, I didn't mean to step on your question. I have Blue too, but I didn't when I had surgery so I don't know the answer. But I think you will be OK!
