Found this after a google search for symptoms.

Men taking Lupron for prostate cancer may find that their symptoms get worse, or that new symptoms appear, during the first few weeks of treatment. If this happens, let your doctor know immediately. Bone pain may increase temporarily, and in rare cases a blockage in the urinary tract or pressure on the spinal cord may appear. If you already have problems in the spine or urinary tract, the doctor will start Lupron therapy with caution.

Also found some references to joint pain as well. I would at the least discuss with the doctor prescribing the medication to be sure their is no concern.

Thanks for that. We couldn't pick up dr. Mayers' book as we flew out of the States before it arrived. I'm glad to know that the spot pains are probably just a side affect. That's less of a worry. 

We're grateful that my husband is not experiencing too many side effects of the HT. I realise that this may change, but we take it one day at a time. Although we certainly have our worries, we are managing to move on with our life. Not everybody understood our decision to go back to work (post conflict country), but to us, that is normal life. But we have decided not to postpone any of the things that we really want to do (e.g. visiting Alaska).
