82 Yr Young Husband Facing PCa Treatment Choices

Good evening, and thank you all for your well wishes and support. DH's upcoming surgery has kicked us into gear to get a number of things done that we've postponed - update our healthcare proxies, POAs, and review other important family documents. He had hip replacement surgery two years ago and recovered very well from that, so we are keeping our fingers crossed.

The surgeon said he would likely keep DH in hospital a day or two longer than the standard one day. I am relieved about this. Plus we are booked into the nearby Helmsley Medical Tower before/after. My thinking is to stay in Manhattan for at least one more day after he's discharged to be sure all's well.

So, this is the game plan for now.

You have received many good pieces of information on this site. I have learned a lot by reading yours and others posts, thanks. Many of my ancestors lived to their 90 and some to past a hundred, so being in decent health except PC I opted for the DiVinci procedure. Not yet in the seventies I am looking forward to another 15 to 30 years and I have been getting 000's on my follow up PSA tests. Keep the great attitude and know that our prayers are with you.
