I was just going over my pathology report this afternoon. The Dr went over the report with me a week after surgery when I had the catheter removed but I just requested a copy today. There were a couple of things I saw listed that I have not seen much info about
on this site or anywhere else. One was prostate sixe 4 x 4 x 3.1 - cm. Included with this was "sectioning reveals a 3 cm yellow granular tissue extending to the mid posterier margin". I am assuming that this is some of the cancer that was found. Also stated was that it "extends to the apical margin and involves both right and left side. All the other margins are benign". My questions are based on the relative size of the prostate is this a large amount of cancer? What is the possibility that the cancer has spread outside the prostate? I hope this isn't too confusing.
Thanks
