I read a lot of sources on the internet and most of them say that treatment causes ED not the cancer itself. But some sources say that rarely prostate cancer may affect nerve and cause ED.
Here is the my story . I'm 38 y.o. I've started experience problem with ED. Went to urologist after blood test and hormone test come back normal he gave me prescript
ion for ED drugs. At the same time I noticed that my urine stream is quite weak. I went to another urologist who did DRE and noticed that texture on right side is more dense. I did PSA test which came back 1.9. Report says for my gland maximum PSA should be 2.1 Yes, I read all about
misleading numbers for PSA. Did TRUS prostate gland 22 cc righ globe has slightly more dense texture than left and middle. No nodules were found Also right side has sligtly more blood flow that left side and recommended repeat TRUS after 6 month just for check up/ Urologist said prostate cancer rarely gives any symptoms on early stages and if it's cancer, with those symptoms PSA would be much higher for sure . He says all I have chronic prostatitis. I got antibiotics for several weeks. He says you can repeat PSA test in 3 - 6 month and go from there. He is exprerienced urologist but I'm scared for sure. He said there is no reason for biopsy since my PSA just a number and biopsy reccomended only when PSA elevates. Result of DRE/TRUS bothers me as well as symptoms. I'm not keen to insist on biopsy myself due obvious reasons.
