For my latest post RP PSA test, the lab results came back as .1 substantially higher than my previous test , 3 months earlier, which was .01. After my initial panic, I realized that my Dr prescribed a regular PSA test instead of the ultra sensitive.
I called my Dr's office and they said "No need to retake the blood test since the lab still has the blood sample and they will retest it using the ultra sensitive protocol."
That doesn't sound right to me. Would they save the blood samples even after they already reported the results? Or, am I being paranoid?
I wonder if any of you had a similar experience.
Thanks for any response.
