Pretty Good Dec PSA 4 Me

I received my latest PSA report last Tuesday (12/22/09) from my surgeon. The measurement was “0.05.” My surgeon doesn't believe I should be concerned even though my recent history is “=0.06,” “<0.04,” and now “=0.05” Since I'm not trending consistently higher, the belief is that I have some benign prostatic tissue remaining from the original surgery causing the detectable reading. I did have one nerve spared in the surgery.

So, I'll be starting off the new year feeling pretty good as I approach 30 months post-surgery.

WOW another zero way to go. I do not see a reason for concern but I do see a reason for celebration.

I don't think you have a reason to be concerned. Mine did the same thing, mine went up to 0.05, then 3 mos later 0.06 and then my last 2 in Sept and Dec were back down to the <0.04 that I had for 2 years. Don't understand why your urologist said something about residual left over that was causing the detectable at 0.05. Have a great year!
