Thanks to all of you for your advice and concerns. Patience is what i need, just expecting to much to soon. All the advertisements i read and the doctor's pitch aren't what i was expecting. Example: was told 1 1/2 to 2 hours in surgery---4 hours--- 3 hours in recovery thought i don't remember much of that. 2 days in hospital not overnight. then they tell me all to be expected, maybe i need a new doctor and uro guy.

Pads in the depends great idea.

I agree external devices are to soon the think about, I read about afex somewhere in this forum.

Rich, you are doing fine. So don't beat yourself up. You just had a very major surgery a few short weeks ago.

Be fair though, the surgery time, the recovery time, the hospital times, are just estimates at best. Your body is unique to you, and no one can know in advance how things will be.

With my open surgery, the surgery time was about 41/2 to 5 hours (I think), but had long recovery time, 6 hours (that part drove my poor family nuts), and then I spent 4 1/2 days in the hospital. Things just vary so much from guy to guy, e tc.

Good going as you continue to heal.

Rich - good for you - take your time and let yourself heal - and everyone does it at a different rate - and we all have different goals - today's goal for me - since I have chores to do is "can I get in and out of the car without peeing myself" . It may seem minor compared to the trials and pain some of our brothers are going through - but each victory for that person is a victory.
so far - at 11:26am - 4 car trips - only one minor leak -
