Hello
I had my
open RP nov 2008 and found out today I am still in the zero club :{) good news off the pads over a year .
I had 1 nerve saved and the doc told me since I was 42 I would have no problem in the erection department , well he was wrong lol , the pills dont work and since the cath got stuck I still have that painfull payronies or how ever you spell it , so with the good news of the 0 came the scary he wats to do a 3+ HR sergury and install a inflatable implant .
I am a little worried about
this and would liek some feedback from anyone who has had this done, did it work ? how well?
and how long of a recovery since its down there just the thought of it makes my hair stand up in fear .
Thank you for you time and input
may we all get through this nasty stuff.

I sent you an e-mail. Hope it helps. You may want to look at franktalk.org

I have had a penile implant. As Cajun Jeff suggests you should go to www.frankTalk.org. I have posted my penile implant experience on that site and there are others. Like any surgery you should be sure the surgeon has done many implants. If you do have Peyronies then injections will not work and an implant will correct it.

There is also a Yahoo group for Penile Implant members. You don't have to have one to be a member. The Peyronies websites also have alot of members that have the implants.
I would get a lot of info before you go down this path. 90% of the men that have it, love it and would never go back. The other 10%, however, are quite unhappy and you need to understand why.
I am considering one but will wait another year as things keep slowly healing and I get back more function every month. I also have peyronies but it has stablized.
