Finally the day has come!!! Looking forward to get this next step behind me. Just spent the day golfing 18 holes with my son, brother and nephew along with a massage at the spa. It was a great day. All relaxed and ready to go.

Good luck and may GOD guide your surgeon's hands today wink    I am 8 weeks post op and feeling better than ever. I bet you will be playing 18 holes sooner than you think. turn

By the time you read this, you should be on the other side, so let me be the first to congratulate you. Hope all went well so now you can enjoy your "coast" to recovery. My open RP is this Friday, so I want to thank you for sharing your great day prior. I have never had a massage, so I am going to borrow your idea this week.

Sounds like you had the perfect way to take away the stress of upcoming surgery. Nice jobe. Good luck with the recovery. Will be waiting for your post from the other side.

Hey, BD, when I had my surgery on Aug. 20th last year, I thought my golf season was finished here in northern Illinois, but I was wrong. Less than 5 weeks later I was back on the course for 18 holes without a problem, and my foursome still managed to win our flight in the league. Hopefully, you'll be back on the links by Labor Day. I returned to golf a bit earlier than my uro recommended, and when he asked me how it had gone, I told him that it went great, and I thanked him for "removing my slice" along with the prostate!

I gave up golf 10 years ago because I developed a bad slice that I could not remedy even with pro-help. Maybe after surgery, I should give it another try!

Thank you all for the best wishes and the humorous comments by some. Made me laugh. I'm doing well with no pain (due to medication). Most uncomfortable feeling has been the gas situation. Just had that awesome liquid diet and getting ready for that first hallway walk.

I'm planning on getting some golf in again this season before that northern Illinois weather turns.

My surgeon said it went well and did not see anything of concern at this time but I look forward to the path report next week. Yes, both neurovascular bundles spared.

Hope all went well. Walk as often as possible, drink lots of liquids to get the drugs out of your system, mind the nurses, don't trip on the catheter tubing...but more importantly...what did you shoot yesterday?

I know how you are feeling. I had my RALP on 20 July. Still a bit of pain, but catheter out and not leaking too much. Hope your recovery is similar.

All the best for your day. I was surprised how well mine went and how my recovery is progressing. I'm taking the dog for a walk each day a little further.

BD, you sound in great spirits, may the rest of your recovery go well!  With the weather we have been having in the Midwest, you may be golfing in November.  Take good care of yourself.  The cake is on the way.

Bill, I remember you being up and doing things Ron could only dream of.  I guess we all have an anniversary coming up later in the month.  So happy things have been good for you!

Startech, I think BD gave you a good idea about the massage.  I won't say anything more except good luck with your surgery, and looking forward to seeing you on the other side.

Hey BD so happy you are doing so well after the surgery, there was no way the first day I could have gotten back on the Internet, that day is still mostly a blur for me. Just remember to take it easy for the first week, but everyday you will feel better than the day before. smilewinkgrin   The first big milestone will be your post pathology report and then that dam Folley comes out and you will feel human again. yeah

I am sooo jealous of you guys who have already gone through the other side.I scheduled my surgery for september so I could have my vacation down the shore and now that the summer is almost over I just want to get this surgery behind me.
