I am an infrequent poster but read posts somewhat regularly. Happy to report that my 15 month PSA test results came back at <0.1 undetectable from the pathology lab.
While extremely pleased with that result, I also wanted to report to all my incontinence "brothers in pads" that even at 15 months from surgery, I am still recording slow, incremental improvements with incontinence. I think that since Jeff had his sling done, I am one of the only daily pad weighting folks on this site. To recap: I record my pad input weight for my 13 hours away from home during work days and also on weekend for the same period of time. It provides the best consistency of activity and drinking/eating behaviors in order to reduce the number of variables that might interfere with obtaining an honest assessment of progress.
While at the beginning of 2011, daily 13 hour pad weights were around 9.5 cc, late summer averages were around 8.0 cc and then suddenly shifted to around 6.0 cc per work day. Translated, it is around a bit over a teaspoon per 13 hour work day with 1 mile walked to work, lots of time sitting at a desk along with some walking around work and 1 mile walking to return from work.
Hoping to see more improvement as time progresses. Besides the measuring, I feel more stability in my bladder, a nearly dry pad and the pelvic floor muscle that feels much more robust. Kegels feel more like firming an already toned muscle rather than developing a flabby one. I guess my plumbing is just a slow learner or slightly retarded.
Keeping hope alive... I continue to pray for all of you in this club.

Good numbers Mike and hopefully with time pads will be a thing of the past.

mike,
that's a real good report on your psa, and your continued improvement on your incontinence.

Mike: congrats on the good PSA number--may you see MANY MORE! and hopefully your weights will go down until they, too, are undetectable...

Thanks everyone for your support and encouragement. I have so little to complain about
. Given your profiles, I am humbled. The few lines that provide the journey you have taken thus far requires so much courage and fortitude. You all truly understand how precious and fragile life is.
Prayers and good thoughts...
Mike S.
