This has been a very informative thread!! I am almost two years post surgery and I seem to be a case study every where I go as I am a paraplegic in addition to the prostate cancer. My doctor has suggested the advance sling but has indicated I may need to go to rehab or rent a lift as she does not want me transferring from my wheelchair for at least two weeks. Not sure if anyone has any suggestions, but I am willing to listen. It seems the common thread is not to lift anything for several weeks, I don't know if I could lay around that long with out going crazy!

T-2 hours. Expect to be sore for a couple of weeks, and remember to take it easy for 6 weeks.
Remember, the inconvenience and pain is all worth it!
