Having been forced to confront the fact that most men in my situation die within a few years I've also been forced to consider what is most important to me. Extending my life or the quality of the life I have left. For me quality of life is far more important than how long I live.

Just a thought.

How old are you?

When were you diagnosed and what gleason score?

Rodney -- you know, being treated usually means an improved quality of life, not just quantity of life.  so i'm a little skeptical unless you can make the case cool .  can you post your history?

For now I can tell you I will be 58 May 6. and I'm on Ht. (Eligard + Casodex) Wide spred METs from knees up. cT2c. Had no clue until the end of Sept. last year when I started to get sick. By Christmas I had to cancel the paper because I couldn't walk to the end of the driveway or pick it up if I got there.

Needless to say, I'm doing and feeling much, much better now.

Started HT Feb. 15, psa 2200. Going down. 1500.?? March 28,

ed... Not sure what your skeptical about or what you'd like me to make a case for.

Rodney, was that your first PSA test?

You certainly seem to have your work cut out for you. I'm not in your same league vis-a-vis my negotiations with this disease but I have read many inspiring testimonials here and on YANA from folks that are winning a courageous battle with advanced PCa. I hoe some of them reach out to you with some sound advice and give you hope again.

Most recent PSA before Jan. 17 was on Nov. 17 last year 900.?? Before that 2007 PSA 3.5

I should make it clear, I'm doing very well at this point, and I do have hope for a good outcome. There are good reasons to face the facts and realities though, and their not always warm and fuzzy.
