My husband has been on HT for advanced PCa. Read stats below.

We just got a call from Dr. office with his PSA and T results.

We have an appt. next week but until then...

His psa is <0.1 and his T level is 12.

I know the PSA is good but what should his T level be to make it a good continued response to the HT?

We start the second injection at the end of May!

while i would love some good news for myself, i always rejoice with anyone else's good news here on HW, just like we share bad news, I love to share in the good news reports too.  we are all fighting the same monster, just different battles on different days.

The "T" level at 12 is good also. For the HT to be effective, it should be below 20..

Talk to a radiation oncologist.....Have all your records and test results so he can go over them...

Total T levels will tend to bounce around some and will likely be different each time one measures it. My levels have been 26, 40, 4, 5, and 16 so far. The last 3 meaurements were 3 weeks apart. I would not worry about minor measurement-to-measurment variations.

T levels are good, but psa needs to be at .05 for at least three months. Psa levels at .05 have been shown to significantly increase survival rates. You may want to look at adding Casodex and Adovart to reduce psa futher.

Boogee--Glad to see the low numbers!!

My HT worked well for a couple of years. So now you can "relax" a bit and just monitor (wish I was there now!!).

My husband is on Casodex and lupron. and his PSA is <0.1. Will talk to Dr. about adding avodart.
So that means lower than 10 pennies worth? correct
So... Is .05 not even a penny to put it in laymans terms?
