Well it worked for a few moments anyway.. if we are going,, might as well be laughing..
Well on that subject,
(true story I watched recently,) a father of three adult kids passed away. Like many of us that have multiple kids, he had a running joke with them about him never saying they ever made the #1 kid list.. (My girls always try to get me to say that they are the # one daughter)
Well, shortly before the funeral, they were each passed cards to only be opened after his passing, no one knew the other got a card. The mother (who was in on the joke) all got them together and mentioned to the group that she wanted to know what dad had written in their cards.
The kids were mortified because dad had named each one his # one child, but they did not know he wrote the same in each kids card..
Mom persisted and finally one child reluntcly read his/her card. The others all started to laugh as their card had the same message..
Dad did not want the kids to mourn his death, he lived a good life..
