I was right about the T stage OH was given.

They said T1c but I thought it should have been T2.

And so it was confirmed by the consultant today that he is in fact a  T2a.

It doesn't make any difference to treatment but I wanted to make sure they got everything right.

I know.

If they got that wrong what else have the or could they get wrong?

And considering the first meeting we had with the consultant he had ours and another mans medical notes mixed up together I want to make usre they are on the ball!!!

Yours and anothers mixed up! Wow yeah!

I keep a running list of my appointments and treatments. A few months ago my Doc said I was not due for my Lupron (Eligard) for a month later than what my notes showed. He knows I keep the list as I hand it to him (along with my questions). My Doc looked at the notes on the medical log, said no shows you were given your last on this date at 10:30 AM. Than he said "Oh! you never get your injection that early! Yes there was a error made!"

Gotta be your own advocate!

I didn't think of keeping a note until my sister said I should.

Her son had a serious accident at work and has been left with permanant brain damage and she kept a diary of everything said by everyone (including words of encouragement by family and friends).

Keeping a log was how I noticed the difference in what the T stage should have been and what we were originaly told.

We are (hark at me ... we lol) going to go for Low Dose Bracheytheropy. Mainly because they all have about the same success rate and LDB is less hassle for work and ongoing family life.

Next appointment will be for 3d imaging of the prostate so they can 'make' the beads.

I always smile when you ladies say "we are going, We are experiencing side effects, and that type of comment."

Really shows how much of a 'team' hubby and wife are in life, though good times and bad times,

My wife and daughters will do things like "Husband / Dad , whens our next appointment?"

You are so right, its always a "we" comment. It's been, for better or worse, or a combination of both. "WE" are here for the long haul.

Keeping your own records is critical, who best to know what is going on with your care, but you. Write it all down.

First mission in being your own advocate, or your husband's advocate, is to keep detailed notes of meetings, appointments, meds and med changes, etc. I would never assume that the doctor's office admin staff is always on top of things, despite the precautions in place.

I agree with the above comments about keeping records.
We are actually in the process of doing a line graph of my husbands PSA, T levels and other measures so we can just pull it out when going to appts. and local support group meetings.
I also carry a folder with everything, path reports et.el. and I always ask for copies of anything we have done so we don't have to ask the Dr's as we attend our appts.

See I am one who uses OUR appts. because we are a team.
