Won't go into my experiences, but lets just say you were lucky - yours was actually delivered. After months of hassle and living on samples from my GP, I finally had a go-round with a senior supervisor (you only thought you had gotten high in the food chain with a "supervisor", just to find there are more levels), after which I transferred all my meds back to my local grocery store pharmacy (1 mile away), where they were to begin with.
Now when they call asking why I am not using my "member benefit", I refer them to the note attached to my file, which probably says something like "unless you want to waste your afternoon and get chewed a new one, leave this one alone". Since I blow my deductible (ultra-high) every year, it just doesn't matter anymore.
And my war was over a simple blood pressure med. Preventative, no less.
Welcome to the wars of chronic conditions.
