When to call the DR?

One year post op with the normal aches and pains, the last three days I have been suffering from a pain in the upper groin area, both sides are sore to the touch, and when I stand upright I have noticeable discomfort, question is when do you call your Dr? for an appointment, do you give it a few days to see if it is just a groin pull, this is what I really dislike about this crap when are aches and pains in the groin area normal or abnormal?

I'd call it in now. If it's been going on for three days and not getting better then it's worth at least a phone call to ask about it.

With my health plan I have access to an advice nurse that I can call to ask these kinds of questions. But more often than not when I do call in ask, "should I be seen for this?" the answer is yes.

I am a year+ post op and was warned after RP of increased risk for hernia. I moved a month ago and did a lot of heavy lifting. I think I may have blown a hernia. I already had an appt on the books for my 3 month follow-up with my Uro next Monday so figured I'd wait it out for the month. I haven't died yet but it is uncomfortable and I don't recommend waiting a month to find out. Good luck to you.
