David Emerson was diagnosed at age 42 with a 271 PSA and mets all over. He has fought with great dignity, courage, and Inspiration. He has raised over a quarter million in research funding and has stood tall among all I have ever met since I was diagnosed. We became friends online and teamed up as the young guys fighting this disease. David is 49 today but has decided to let things be...

I know many here know David, too. And an initial discussion has been laid out in fostering the idea of the David Emerson Award for those committed to continue the great inspiration efforts that David embarked upon. I certainly second that thought and have stated my support on the InfoLink article today...

I know my friend as a spiritual man whom always tried to help a brother whenever they contacted him. So for now please lets all join HealingWell hands for hope that David's days ahead are peaceful and filled with love.

Sad time for him and his family and friends. He has been a true pioneer in generating support for awareness, that was very much lacking before he took up the task. May his journey be eased by his knowing how many people are thinking and praying for him now.

I have been following his journey for the last 5 years....whenever I get down I look to to David and his courage...he has been a beacon of hope for so many..if he only knew how many!! I was very sad to read Mary's post yesterday...but must admit not totally surprised given the recent course of events....I wish him and his family peace.

i have been following David since i have been here.  i knew the day was drawing near.  it's a sad day for a valiant warrior but he's not in pain and he is surrounded by love....

I'm not quite sure how I came to know of David, but I have followed his bravely traveled path, as well as his contributions to research through his organization.

I feel privileged to have been able to follow his journey.

Prayers of comfort and peace to David and his family.

I feel so sad and angry. David was diaagnosed the same year andd samme age as I was. He was HRPCa from the start. His courage gave so many hope. He and I only shared a few post exchanges. We were always going to talk on the phone. We never did. I hate this friggin disease. We men should be shouting from every street corner. I feel so blessed to be doing as well as I am but it is just Sh@#ty to watch your friends leave one by one. David, you are a mighty warrior. I will see you on the other side. We will have that talk then. God speed my brother. Aloha.
