And what is really scary is that most big name drug manufacturers use Chinese made raw ingredients, and that's perfectly legal. But some are adulterated, but the QC done by the manufacturers sometimes can't detect the phony raw materials. There was a TV program about this recently.

Life is not risk free. And some of those Chinese are very clever ....

Several years ago, in the Kansas City area, a local pharmacist, Dr. Robert Courtney, was buying cancer drugs and diluting them to sell more, thus more profit. An Eli Lilly representative.noticed the discrepancy between the amount bought, and the amount sold. He approached an oncologist who was a customer of Courtney's and told her of the discrepancy. She ordered some of the treatment drug and had it tested, and found out it had been diluted. Whistle blown. He got 30 years, lost his money, his wife and one of the plaintiffs in the ensuing law suit was awarded over 2 billion dollars. Over 98,000 scripts to over 4200 customers had been diluted. My MIL was one of them and was being treated for BC at the time. We wondered why she never lost her hair.
Hard to trust anyone after that.
