Question about tests before SRT

So I've seen the RO and this week will be seeing the uro to find out if I need Hormone therapy and when SRT will start. He gave me a referral for a CT scan with contrast and whole body MRI before the SRT begins.

He recommended I get the SRT done at our large regional hospital instead of our local hospital because they have better radiation machines. I'm good with that, but I made the appt at our local hospital rather than our regional hospital for the CT scan and the MRI.

Question 1: are these pre-tests to determine if my cancer has spread before committing to SRT?
Question 2: does it matter that I've scheduled the CT scan and the MRI at a different hospital than the one where I will receive the SRT? If it matters, I can still try to change it at the last minute (Monday morning).

1) I would say yes. If you had distant mets, the radiation might be reconsidered. (Added - I had forgotten that I had a CT at the RT facility to verify the positions of my Calypso markers - that one was done by the same group that did the RT)

2) I don't think so. The place you do the scans would only matter in the correct execution and analysis. I've had all (but one of) my scans done at the same hospital, which is not the place that did the RT. I wouldn't expect it to make a difference unless the RO wants a particular physician or group to read the results.

its unlikely any test will give you conclusive evidence either way, that is one of the problems with srt, its a crap shoot at best, whether its needed or not, and the odds of it being succesfully are not high to begin with.

on the 2nd question, shouldn't matter where you take those tests.
