Thank you everyone,
It was bittersweet last Monday. I got such good news and then found out Bud had passed. It just didn't seem right to post until after his memorial.
I knew 3 people who passed from cancer last week. 2 were friends.. Mandy and I took our camp trailer to the beach last Monday to celebrate. When the raain fell sideways we headed south. By tuesday evening we were in San Francisco. No matter how dark the sky....you can always find the sun if you seek it..

Maybe after this news you should consider changing the line in your signature,  "PSA Irrelevant", I think PSA under 5 is VERY RELEVANT.

Todd, I think Terry makes an excellent point...a PSA of 5 is totally relevant and an inspiration to anyone who comes here. Folks need to know that there are always options. There is never a reason to stop trying and never a good time to quit.

Considering where you started your journey and where you are now is so life-affirming. In the years you've been a part of our family, I don't remember you ever indulging in self-pity or complaint. We need more of that here. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us.

That was very generous of you to wait to give us all time to come to terms with losing a valued member of this forum. So illogical to rejoice and mourn at the same time, but that's what this disease seems to be.

not so much. Bud was my friend. I could not rejoice in my own blessings. I had just lost a friend. My news seems moot.

You are a class act and inspiration to all. I have been curious as to your situation and psa for quite some time. Less than 5 is such great news. We have lost some great warriors this spring. I love to fly. I am always amazed when leaving portland as it is usually . raining.. On the tarmac the rain falls and the sky is dark grey. My favorite part is breaking through the clouds into the sunlight. It is such a metaphor for our lives and for this disease. (THE SUN IS ALWAYS SHINING) It is sad to lose friends. Sometimes the side effects and pitfalls of treatment can be rough. Each tried and failed treatment is like a knife through the heart. The sky is grey the rain falls but the sun is still shining. Right now Bud is soaking it up. Todd
