Hello All
Its been a while ,Hubby PSA continues to be 0.01 and that is at 9 month of HT .The Doc said he can take a break in September if it stays the same.Which is great because now more than ever before its about quality of life not the length.
We thought he had Parkinson but we were given a new diagnose a month ago.It is called Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is a rapidly progressing degenerative disease whose cause is unknown. Degeneration of cells in several brain areas causes a variety of motor symptoms, including postural instability and frequent falls, difficulty swallowing and speaking, and slowed movements. One characteristic symptom of PSP is downward gaze palsy, meaning the loss of the ability to move the eyes to look downward. Other symptoms sometimes seen later in the disease include emotional or personality changes, sleep disturbances, and cognitive losses such as mental slowing, forgetfulness, and difficulty with abstract reasoning.It run along the same line same ALS. Which is scaring the crap out of me.He is really having a tough time with mobility already and swallowing.So PC is pretty much on the back burner for now.I do read pretty much every day and think you all are the greatest .You all give so much to other’s in your knowledge and experiences.I thanks you all from the very bottom of my heart.Keep it up guys and gal,you may not know how much you really do help others .THANKS

So very sorry to hear of your husband's new and disturbing diagnosis. ALS is terrible to deal with, a friend of my mother is currently stricken with it, and there is very little to be hopeful with her case.

Yes, PC would be on my back burner too facing what you are facing. I truly understand the QOL issue, it is one I deal with every single day of my life, as I continue to fight Chronic Pain which is still worsening even 2 years later. Living forever is not a current goal of mine.

My best to you and your husband, I things go better than they currently sound. Hope he does well, at least as well as can be expected under the circumstances.

You have a large plate full yourself.I sure hope you catch a break soon and that you will get the help to living a pain free life soon.

Thanks for checking in. We all focus on PCa, and it is hard to remember that there are other things lurking out there that can be so much more devastating.

We are here, and I hope the contentious threads will not get in the way of being here if you need to come vent, ask questions, or just scream at the moon.
